     ASSETS TOLEDO offers a Business Design and Management course for low-to-moderate income individuals who want to start their own business or improve an existing one. The 12 weeks long course offers practical, experience-based teaching along with practical help in developing business plans, assistance in securing loans, and volunteer mentors.
     There are 4 classes per year and they are held every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7PM to 9PM at the Seagate Business Center, Adams and 14th Streets in Toledo's Uptown area.      Women's Entrepreneurial Network (www.wentoledo.org) was established in 1993 to "encourage and support businesswomen and women-friendly businesses with successful entrepreneurial development." WEN puts on 4-part seminars covering business plans, marketing, financing and record-keeping. This seminar series is held six times per year.
