Museum Place, a unique and distinctive residential community is located across from the Toledo Museum of Art in the Historic Old West End. Museum Place includes five beautifully renovated historic buildings within a charming parklike setting.
The Delmar,built in 1917, is shaped in a "U" and features a grassy courtyard on the front facade. There are thirty five apartments in The Delmar. Large townhouse apartments on the third floor have spiral staircases and 9-foot ceilings. Those on the Monroe Street side have sunrooms with spectacular views of the Toledo Museum of Art.
The Lincoln (at the right in the picture above) was built in
1905 in the Georgian Revival style. The building has ten apartments and features fireplaces, pantries, built-in cabinets, wooden floors in the living/dining areas and large walk-in closets. The larger apartments are approximately 2,500 square feet. Large windows bathe the apartments in light and afford a breathtaking view of the museum grounds.
The Bartley mansion, a large, 10,000 square foot sandstone building in the chateauesque style was built in 1905. Complimenting an elegant front entry, porch and hallway, the building features 10 apartments, seven of which are two level townhouses. The lower townhouses feature spiral staircases. The townhouses on the third and fourth floors have spectacular skylights above the bedrooms.
 1835 Collingwood was built in 1925 with magnificent fireplaces and plaster cast moldings in the halls and a curved turret window on the third floor. For many years it was known as the "Collingwood Rest Home." Today, this building features two 1-bedroom apartments, two 2-bedroom apartments and one 3-bedroom apartment.
 1825 Collingwood was built in 1890 in the Queen Anne style and now houses 5 apartments. This lovely building features three 1-bedroom apartments, one 2-bedroom apartment and one 4-bedroom apartment. The Museum Place rental office is also located in this building. |
