Monthly neighborhood meetings give the residents of Collingwood Springs a chance to solve problems and decide on the best plans for the community. There are also bi-annual neighborhood clean-ups that help beautify the area.
At present the price of land is reasonable, and for some houses there is homesteading assistance available. Several new home sites in Collingwood Springs have been identified as ideal for the construction of new, architecturally-integrated Victorian-style homes.
Collingwood Springs Redevelopment Corporation, incorporated in 1982, is a non-profit group composed of homeowners, landlords, renters, church representatives and businesses drawn together by the common concern to improve the area bounded by Ashland Avenue, Collingwood Boulevard, and Woodruff Avenue. CSRC is an original member of Neighborhoods in Partnership, having helped form NIP in 1991.

The Old West End has always been one of Toledo's most beautiful landmarks. Featuring one of the largest collections of Victorian and Edwardian style homes in the country, the architecture of the Old West End is unmatched among the traditional neighborhoods of Toledo.
Homes are unique in style, spacious and one of a kind. Methods found successful in the preservation of historical architecture in other cities are being used successfully towards the restoration of the Old West End.
Though history and architecture are a great part of the tradition of the Old West End, the key ingredient is the residents. A small community of neighbors pulling together and working hard to keep the Old West End a desirable place to live.
The Old West End Association (formed in 1940) was one of the founding members of NIP. Women of the Old West End became a full member neighborhood group of NIP in January 2000. Meetings of the Old West End Association are held the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at The Mansion View, 2035 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, Ohio.

The Corridor includes Ashland Avenue from Woodruff Avenue north to Collingwood Blvd. and Collingwood Blvd from Monroe Street north to Islington Street. The Corridor Revitalization Corporation was formed in 1991 out of the Ashland Avenue/Cathedral Square Coalition which had been formed in 1988.
The Corridor is home to public and private facilities such as the architecturally imposing Rosary Cathedral, historic Scott High School, the growing Collingwood Arts Center with its complex of performing space and artists studios, beautiful Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, and the internationally acclaimed Toledo Museum of Art.
Strategically located near renaissance neighborhoods such as Uptown, Collingwood Springs, the Old West End,and Toledo Olde Towne, The Corridor is a bridge between different neighborhoods as well as a passageway from those neighborhoods into the downtown.

It is bounded by tenth street on the East, Washington Street on the South, Collingwood Blvd to the East and Woodruff and Adams Streets on the North.
